Medicinal Cannabis Matters: Friday Roundup - 14 November 2025
Welcome to this week’s round-up in medicinal cannabis. As Medicinal Cannabis Awareness Month continues, the conversation around safe, effective access is gaining momentum. From a national survey revealing exceptional patient outcomes to powerful stories of relief from chronic pain and Parkinson’s, this week shines a light on how medicinal cannabis is changing lives across the UK.

Patients Report Remarkable Quality of Life Gains
A new national survey has found that an incredible 97% of medicinal cannabis patients in the UK reported improvements in their quality of life since beginning treatment.
The survey, which included over 4,500 participants, highlights significant benefits in areas such as sleep, pain management, mood and overall daily functioning. Many participants also reported being able to reduce or stop using traditional prescription painkillers, emphasising the potential of medicinal cannabis as a sustainable alternative for long-term care. This reinforces that with the right clinical guidance, medicinal cannabis can meaningfully improve wellbeing and independence.
Parkinson’s Patient Finds Relief and Renewal with Medicinal Cannabis
In a recent article, a man living with Parkinson’s disease shared how medicinal cannabis has helped him regain his sense of control after years of unpredictable tremors and pain.
Before treatment, his condition made daily activities almost impossible. Since starting prescribed medicinal cannabis therapy, he reports reduced tremors, improved mobility and better sleep. These improvements have allowed him to reclaim the quality of life he feared was lost.
His story reflects a growing recognition that medicinal cannabis is not simply about symptom management but about restoring independence for patients with complex neurological conditions.
Chronic Pain Patient Overcomes “Unbelievable” Suffering
Another recent story tells of a patient whose life was once dominated by “unbelievable levels of pain”. After years of trying conventional painkillers with little success, he turned to medicinal cannabis and found significant relief.
He described how medicinal cannabis treatment allowed him to regain mobility, sleep through the night and live without the constant fog of pain medication. His experience adds to the growing evidence that medicinal cannabis can be an effective and compassionate alternative for those living with chronic pain, particularly when conventional options have failed.
