Our 4 Step Process

At Medicann, our processes and protocols have been designed to protect our patients and make sure they receive the best care and treatment.

Medicann’s established, best practice protocols have been setting the benchmark since 2019 and are implemented by new, opening clinics across the UK. Patients who are eligible for treatment can be enrolled in our research program and will have ongoing monitoring to ensure patient safety.

1

Book a Call

Book your consultation conveniently online, or call the relevant clinic. For new and pre-existing medicinal cannabis patients, this is £50.

Filling out the form is easy, and you’ll be asked to give permission for Medicann to retrieve your medical records. All data is stored securely, and your consultation is dealt with confidentially by our team.

2

Speak to a Specialist

A specialist Medicann Doctor will assess your condition and determine your suitability for treatment with medicinal cannabis.

Although we welcome referrals from GPs, specialists and other clinics, a referral is not necessary, and you can simply book a consultation directly with us.

3

Eligibility Review

Your Medicann Doctor will refer your results for a peer review to a board of expert Doctors in the first instance.

If you are eligible for medicinal cannabis, our team will confirm with you and provide you with some more information about your prescription.

4

Prescription Approval

Once you have paid for your prescription, you will be able to collect as per your pharmacy’s protocols.

Please do not call the clinic or pharmacy or contact us on social media in relation to prescriptions. All patients’ prescriptions are dealt with in chronological order, unless by the discretion of a Medicann Doctor.

Patients who are eligible for treatment can opt to be enrolled in our research program and will have ongoing monitoring to ensure patient safety.

Benefit 1 - Psychological

PTSD, anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, and opioid dependence, are some examples of symptoms treated with medicinal cannabis. Insomnia and sleep disorders are also benefited by specialist medicinal cannabis treatment. Unlike many sleeping pills, medicinal cannabis promotes deep, rejuvenating sleep without the sluggishness the following morning.

Benefit 2 - Physiological

Chronic pain from arthritis, sciatica, MS, fibromyalgia, glaucoma, inflammatory conditions and asthma can potentially benefit from medicinal cannabis. Reducing inflammation and assisting mobility/and or spasming, medicinal cannabis treatment works to calm muscles and nerves.

Benefit 3 - Neurological

Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, epilepsy, Tourette’s syndrome, autism, agitation in dementia, neuropathic pain, managing seizures and spasms, multiple sclerosis and muscular dystrophy are just some of the issues that can potentially benefit from medicinal cannabis treatment.

Benefit 4 - Gastrointestinal

Nausea, vomiting and anorexia of cancer chemotherapies, appetite stimulation, symptoms derived from HIV/AIDS and affiliated treatments can be treated with medicinal cannabis. Enabling better gut function and appetite also improves mood and aids in more restful sleep.
