This policy does not suggest that adults aged 18 to 20 cannot lawfully receive medical cannabis where a clinician determines that treatment is appropriate. Rather, it reflects Medicann’s own clinical standards and approach to responsible prescribing.
To ensure compliance with this policy, all users of the website and prospective patients are required to provide their date of birth as part of the registration process.
Where a user is unable to demonstrate that they are aged 21 years or over, access to the website and/or prescribing services may be restricted or refused.
Upon the onboarding process, age will be verified using ID check which comprises patients being asked to share additional supporting documentation such as a valid photo license or passport.
Medicann reserves the right to request additional information where reasonably necessary to verify a user’s age.
