From Plant-to-Patient

At Medicann, we work with a wide range of medicinal cannabis products that are all EU GMP-approved and grown in a controlled facility to ensure the quality of the product is always the best for our patients. During our recent visit to one of the facilities, we brought you along to see, firsthand, the journey of growing the most advanced medicine available today, observing each step from cultivation to its ultimate delivery to you, the patient.

Step 1: The Mother Room

The Mother Room is where it all begins —filled with the Mother plants, which create the genetics for future medication. The cuttings from a female plant are extracted to grow in Rockwool so there is no soil contamination. Roughly about 100 plants can be grown per cultivar, and each plant will produce at least 100 clones.
