Medicann is proud to announce its first-ever community patient event on the Isle of Man: Medicann Cann – Discover, Discuss, Thrive in Your Manx Wellness Journey, taking place at 6pm on Wednesday 3rd September at The Claremont Hotel, Douglas.

The Channel Islands' first-ever medicinal cannabis clinic, and multi-award-winning clinic, has announced its expansion into the UK.

For the second year, Medicann has held an annual event to mark World Cancer Day in Jersey with the local community coming together to raise £5000 for local charity ABC Jersey.

Gary Whipp is chief executive of Medicann Cannabis Clinic. He spoke to Tom Ogg about the ‘life-changing’ properties of cannabis and the importance of challenging common misconceptions about the drug. “ I realised we could do it ourselves, here in Jersey, and it’d generate income, it’d generate tax, it’d generate GST, it’d generate employment – and it has. It was one of those lightbulb moments.”

In aid of local community organisation ‘Jersey Cancer Relief’, the event raised £5188 to support the work done by Jersey Cancer Relief for local people who are managing life with cancer and needing financial support.
